For people with visual or hearing difficulties, sensory products can be used to alert them that a telecare alarm has been activated.
Working with the Chubb Carer Alert and IntelliLink carephone, these products are suitable for telecare users or onsite carers with sensory impairments.
When a telecare alarm is activated, the Chubb Carer Alert will go into alarm condition, it will alert the user or carer using an audible tone whilst visually indicating which telecare sensor has triggered the alarm.
A sensory transmitter is linked to the Chubb Carer Alert which when activated can trigger an array of wireless sensory receivers such as flashing beacons and vibrating pads.
This system allows user’s who have sensory impairments to be alerted to a telecare sensor activation. This can be particularly important in the case of smoke detectors as it would alert the user and allow them to safely vacate the property. A 24 hour control centre can be alerted simultaneously.
It can also be used to alert onsite carers who may themselves have a sensory impairment that a telecare sensor has been activated.
The system can also work in conjunction with an IntelliLink carephone to provide the security of a 24 hour control centre should the onsite carer be unable to respond locally.
