Based on the best selling Horizon and IntelliLink carephones, ComEx offers unrivalled reliability and flexibility in creating an extra care environment for tenants requiring varying levels of service.
ComEx offers the functionality of a traditional grouped system allowing residents to communicate in full duplex speech with exceptional clarity with on-site or off-site carers, or a 24hr monitoring centre by a variety of means including pendants or other telecare solutions.
The system can be configured using resident’s own telephone lines, or installed with a PBX option. Each residence becomes an individual platform for telecare devices – allowing the system to be tailored to an individuals specific needs, from fall detection to wandering alerts, security alarms to medication reminders, because telecare devices are simply programmed and allocated when required, an environment can be adapted to the individuals changing needs.
The use of dispersed alarms greatly reduces installation and maintenance costs, and allowing units to be easily replaced and/or reconfigured. Door entry, video door entry, CCTV and access control is also available when required.
To further enhance the flexibility of the system, each unit can be programmed individually with multiple contact numbers. Calls can be received and identified by:
- Land lines, dect phones (on-site Carers, nurses, Wardens, SHO’s),
- GSM mobile phones (mobile wardens, off-site scheme cover)
- Off-site control centres using protocols including BS7369, the TSA Common protocol or protocols from other manufacturers.
When installed with a PBX system, residents can benefit from:
- Free internal calls to other residents
- Cheaper external calls and reduced line rental
- Conference call facilities
