To assist in reducing and detecting falls at night , Chubb has launched the new Bed Occupancy Monitor.
This simple to use monitor can be programmed with any combination of up to for four different timed alarms.
- Alarm One- makes a call if the person does not return to bed after a preset time (up to 1 hour)
- Alarm Two- makes a call if the person is not in bed by a set time
- Alarm Three- makes a call if a person is not out of bed by a set time
- Alarm Four- makes a call after a set time if either the mains power fails or if the battery is low.
You also have the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the pad that is located in the bed under the mattress. An optional pressure mat can be used under the sheets if the standard under mattress pad is unsuitable due to mattress /bed types or occupants weight. All programming functions are provided through 4
buttons on the front of the monitor and displayed on the screen.
The Bed Occupancy Monitor comes with a built in real time clock, and features automatic BST/GMT clock Adjustment. It has a unique “home” and “away” button so if the user goes on holiday or into hospital you can simply press the button to ensure that false calls are not made to the control centre.
The unit can also automatically turn on lights when the user gets out of bed. Using X10 interface means that you can switch on as many lights as is required i.e. a pathway to the bathroom. Once the user has returned to bed, the unit turns off all the lights. For bedtime reading, the user can use a pear push to switch the lights on and off as required without having to get out of bed, the pear push is also an alarm button if held for a certain amount of time.
The control unit is fully battery backed up so if there is a mains power failure and the lights don’t work you will still have the alarms calls being made when required.
