To assist in reducing and detecting falls during the day, Chubb have launched the new Fall Detector.
It has been designed with wearability in mind and can be worn around the neck or attached to the user’s belt or clothing. The unit is designed to automatically alert a carer or monitoring centre should the wearer fall.
A fall condition occurs when the Fall Detector is in a position of 70 degrees or greater from a vertical. When a fall condition is detected, the IntelliLink sounds a two tone warning. If the Fall Detector is put back in its upright position this warning tone will stop. If the Fall Detector remains in its fall condition for more than a predefined time (which maybe configured to meet the individual’s needs), the IntelliLink will call the control centre.
The Fall Detector has an integral trigger button meaning that a separate pendant is not required.
