Technology eases Dementia Burden in Oldham

Dementia suffers in Oldham have been given the chance to try out equipment that could help them to live more indpendently.
An event at the Link Centre, Union Street, bought together suffers and their carers with health and social workers to highlight the new technology and services.
Councillor Brian Lord, cabinet member for adult services and health said “Dealing with dementia or memory loss can be very stressful and a daunting experience. We wanted to give people a wide range of information about what help and support is available”
Paul Davies, service director for adult social care added “Assistive technology can significantly improve the quality of many peoples lives”
