Pharmacy Filling Of Automatic Pill Dispensers
Published 12th November 2008
We are pleased to advise that as a result of recent collaboration between the West Midlands Telehealthcare Network, Boots UK Ltd, Lloyds Pharmacy, and Pivotell Ltd, a protocol for the filling of automatic medication dispensers by pharmacies has been agreed.
Boots UK Ltd has now published a Standard Operating Procedure for use by their pharmacies. This Standard Operating Procedure is available as a download from the Pivotell website – please go to: http://www.pivotell.co.uk/pharmacy-filling.htm
We hope this will make it easier for you to arrange pharmacy filling of our dispenser where there is no family member available and pharmacy filling is required.
Although Boots head office is circulating details of the standard operating procedure to their individual pharmacists, there may be some who are unaware of it. Should you have any queries, please let us know and we will arrange for Chris Glass, Development Manager, Domiciliary Care at Boots UK Ltd, Nottingham, to get in touch with the pharmacy concerned.
