Gateshead Council and Chubb Keeping Couples Together

Gateshead Community Based Services and Chubb Community Care are developing ways to keep couples together for longer at home using the Chubb Carer Alert.
We have included a good case study regarding Mr and Mrs Smith are in their late 70’s, Mr Smith has poor health and his wife has dementia. Mrs Smith was prone to falling especially at night when she goes to the bathroom, due to this, Mr Smith had set up his own alarm system that would wake him up when Mrs Smith left her bedroom using nuts and bolts tied to a piece of string on Mrs Smiths door.
