Chubb’s Saturn System Recieves Key Development Upgrades
Published 13th September 2010
Chubb Community Care, one of the UK’s leading social alarm and telecare services, has made three key upgrades to its Saturn resource management system following consultation and feedback from Saturn User Groups. The developments include an audit trail, voice recording and photography sharing facilities. Chubb Community Care is a division of Chubb Systems, part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
Chubb’s Saturn resource management system is a comprehensive and fully integrated database application. It is used extensively throughout the care profession to support a wide range of functions including emergency alarm call handling, HomeCare management, out-of-hours repairs, stock control and telephone directory. To support its users, Chubb runs a quarterly Saturn User Group to discuss customer requirements in order to ensure the system best meets their needs and to share knowledge and best practice between control centres.
The recent key developments for Saturn have been made as a result of the Saturn User Group’s recommendations for additions to the integrated care and call centre resource management software, with more upgrades and developments to follow. The move reinforces Chubb’s commitment to the product and to the value of the User Group feedback.
The upgrades to the software now provide users with the ability to import, print and email photographs, which aids in locating wandering or dementia clients and informing and updating the emergency services where necessary. The audit trail addition allows managers to view any information that has been changed, by whom and when it was done. This feature will make it easier for clients to audit the system themselves and provide all the information they will need for this.
The final development is a voice recording facility, which allows clients to play back any call on the machine, including non-Saturn calls. This will mean that clients will no longer need a third party supplier for voice recording, and all support will be provided by Chubb.
“Our quarterly User Group sessions provide valuable feedback on all Saturn and other control issues that our clients may have,” explains Liz Millward, Chubb Systems Marketing Manager. “By making these developments, we want to show that we are listening and we are committed to making Saturn a better product for all. It won’t end with these three either as more developments are in the pipeline. We are always looking at ways of improving the usability and functions for our clients.”
